What we collect

When you apply, we collect what you enter in the application form: your name, contact details, date of birth, nationality and country of residence, passport validity and expiry, any travel restrictions, your social media handles and follower range, portfolio links, content niches, languages, equipment, experience and availability. We also record your IP address and browser user agent when you submit the form, so we can protect it against spam and abuse. That is everything. We do not collect anything else in the background.

How we use it

We use your data to review your application, reply to you, and, if you join the roster, to match you with trips and brand campaigns that fit your profile, location and availability. We use the IP address and user agent only to detect and block abuse of the form. Our legal basis is simple: we process your data because you asked us to consider your application, and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the site working and abuse free.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data, and there are no ad networks or analytics trackers on this site. Your data is handled by the service providers that run the site for us: Railway, which hosts our database, and Cloudflare, which provides DNS, content delivery and optional bot protection on the form. They process data on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. Beyond that, we only share data if the law requires us to.

Cookies

We only use what is strictly necessary for the site to work. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

If your application is not successful, we keep it for 12 months after the decision, then delete it. If you join the roster, we keep your data for as long as you work with us, plus whatever tax and legal record-keeping obligations require after that.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email help@ugctrips.com and we will handle it. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the same rights to know, correct and delete, and we honor them without charging you or treating you differently for asking.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects how we handle your data, we will email applicants and roster creators before it takes effect.
